Dr. Rafael Mastov, DPT

Dr. Rafael Mastov is the Principal, Director and a Consultant Physical Therapist, founder of Advance Care Physical Therapy, P.C. since 2004.

Dr. Rafael Mastov received Bachelor’s of Science degree from the City University of Staten Island, followed by Master’s degree in Physical Therapy from the College of Staten Island, transitioning his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Scholastica.   Dr. Rafael Mastov has been certified by the American Academy of Manual and Physical Medicine with successfully completion the Pain Management, Manipulation Under Anesthesia, and Operating Room Procedures and MUA Proctorship.

Dr. Rafael Mastov has contributed his knowledge and research in multiple disciplines specifically in Spinal Decompression Therapy and lectured at different venues.  He has lectured at The American Academy of Orthopedic Medicine national conference. Dr. Mastov has been featured in the International Journal of Physical Therapy for his article of Spinal Decompression Therapy for Neck and Back pain.

Over the last two decades, Dr. Mastov has received extensive continuing education and worked directly with the world class orthopedic surgeons at New York Maimonides clinic where he reinforced his clinical experience in the interventions of Rotator Cuff Repairs, ACL/PCL Ruptures/Reconstructions, Total Hip/Knee Replacements, Shoulder and Hip Bursitis, Sciatica and many more specialized treatments.  He established himself as one of the top physical therapists in the country and has successfully helped many patients from all over the world with a wide spectrum of medical problems. 

Dr. Mastov is highly specialized in orthopedics where his primary Doctoral focus at Advance Care Physical Therapy is to correct biomechanical abnormalities to return his patients to previous independent functional level quickly and safely.  His compassion and a strong yet gentle therapeutic touch of treatment offers soft-tissue technique such as cupping, neuro-muscular re-education, kenesio-taping, and joint mobilizations. His dedication and devotion to inspire and motivate his patients while providing them with the most innovative and groundbreaking treatment strategies that are available to all ages.
